Events Tasmania is a government body and part of the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts. Events Tasmania offers a range of funding & development opportunities to encourage event organisers to stage their next event in Tasmania.  

Some of the events we support through our Major Events funding program include, AFL games, Australian Wooden Boat Festival, Targa Tasmania and the V8 Supercars.

The Events Tasmania Grant Program supports a wide portfolio of events including national championships, special interest, touring and community events.

Our Event Development Program is delivered through one-on-one consultations, workshops forums and webinars where we work with events to develop their capabilities and through their event deliver high level benefits to the state.
