Events Tasmania is responsible for administering 80 percent of the Tasmanian Government's event funding, supporting events of all sizes for their economic outcomes.
This support is provided through the following programs.
The Events Tasmania Attraction Fund provides $4 million over four years to secure significant participatory events in Tasmania, with a clear objective of providing substantial returns to the state’s visitor economy.
Events Tasmania's Major Event Partnerships Program provides funding to significant events that return substantial economic outcomes for our state. Events in this category play a big part in supporting Tasmania's visitor economy.
Events Tasmania's Regional Events Start-up Program is a new initiative designed to encourage new events and support minor existing events that are moving to the next level. The program will financially assist approved events over three event years while the event becomes self-sustainable and financially viable.
Expressions of interest in the Regional Events Start-up Program closed on 20 November 2015.
Events Tasmania's Grant Program aims to deliver support to events around the state through a variety of channels. Since it was established in 2002 the program has provided funds to over 1000 events.
Please note that the Events Tasmania Grants Program will be closed for applications during June each year.
