Event Marketing Tasmania grants

Events Tasmania is committed to increasing the number of people coming to Tasmania, getting visitors and locals travelling around the state, and getting people talking and sharing about Tasmania. By increasing and focusing the marketing activity of events held in Tasmania, we can jointly achieve these outcomes while promoting and maximising the attendance at your event.

Applications for the Event Marketing Tasmania Grant are open from 10:00 am Friday, 8 October to 11:59 pm Wednesday, 8 December 2021.

    The Event Marketing Tasmania Grant is designed to cater for both large and small events, with two tiers of funding providing options for events with

    either intrastate or interstate visitation targets. Grants of up to $10 000 are available to assist event organisers with the marketing strategy for

    an established Tasmanian event. Applicants must be able to demonstrate how this funding will add value to an existing marketing strategy that is targeted to markets outside of the region, state or country in which the event takes place.

    The following table will help you to define which tier of funding you can apply for:

    Event Marketing Tasmania grants are assessed across three criteria:

    1. Demonstrated understanding of the target audience (market awareness).
    2. The quality and feasibility of the marketing strategy (conversion).
    3. Demonstrated capacity to deliver effective marketing activity.
