Tim Lovibond - Program Coordinator
Tim joined Events Tasmania in March 2014 as Coordinator Event Leveraging and Partnerships. Tim's role was initially linked to the succesful oversight of the Tasmanian Government's involvement in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 held in Hobart during March 2015.
Previously working in Public Relations at Tourism Tasmania, he was key in developing and delivering their consumer social media strategy, public and media communications and event leveraging. His time at Tourism Tasmania included work on the Swisse Mark Webber Tasmania Challenge, leveraging state and national tourism award winners, partnering to launch the new national weekly newspaper, The Saturday Paper, and working closely with Tourism Australia to manage the state's involvement in their youth-market focused Best Jobs in the World campaign.
Earlier in his career Tim was Program Manager for the state's economic migration unit. Here Tim gained valuable international marketing skills in eastern and western markets, and provided advice on business development and venture opportunities to prospective investors. Frequent travel to international migration events to attract highly skilled workers and top-end entrepreneurs to settle and invest in Tasmania was all part of the job.
A born and bred Tasmanian, he knows every corner of the state and gets immense personal satisfaction presenting it to the world.
