Adam Sproule - Director
Adam leads the Events Tasmania team and since his arrival in late 2013 has brought new levels of energy, insight, and vision to the events sector in Tasmania.
Charged with setting and guiding implementation of an effective strategy for the state’s investment in events and associated promotion, Adam puts his expertise for big-picture planning into his role as Director of Events Tasmania.
Not one to let pre-existing issues, processes or barriers heed progress, Adam nevertheless has a keen eye on risk mitigation, the importance of relationship building, and the ongoing promotion of the events sector within the state.
Before life at Events Tasmania Adam was a Director at Tourism Tasmania, responsible for strategic direction and corporate planning, and led the communication, regional tourism and the research teams to deliver on the needs of the marketing unit and key external stakeholders. Prior to that Adam worked with and advised governments on tourism and events policy – working with many large and small events during this time
Dedicated to keeping fit and spending quality time with his family, not to mention on the waterways of southern Tasmania, at other stages of his career he has been lucky enough to professionally sail superyachts overseas, run his own seafood wholesaling/retail business and started it all delivering newspapers on Hobart’s eastern shore.
