The Australian Event Symposium 2012 is inviting all young Australians (18 years of age and over who are under 30 on 13 September, 2012) to submit an idea for a new Australian hallmark event capable of expressing the unique attributes of Australia, capturing the imagination and enthusiasm of locals and visitors, and the attention of the international media.

Six finalists, selected by a Preliminary Judging Panel, will be invited to present a five minute pitch of their ideas, live or by video, to the Australian Event Symposium at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on 13 September, 2012.
