Applications for Events Tasmania grants for 2012 closed in April 2011.
Announcement of Grant Programs and deadlines for 2013 will follow the handing down of the 2012-13 Tasmanian State Budget process.
The 2012 Grant Programs included the:
Event eligibility
Grant funding is available to event organisations to assist conducting their event in Tasmania. The event must attract interstate or international visitors whose main purpose of travel is to attend the event in Tasmania and who stay at least three (3) nights in commercial accommodation. (Commercial accommodation for the purpose of the Events Tasmania Grants program includes: hotel/motel, backpacker/hostel, apartments, bed & breakfast, self contained and resorts/lodges).

Auditing of Visitor Data by Events Tasmania
As part of the government audit process a number of events will be selected for an independent audit. The following information will be required should your organisation be audited:
- You will need to substantiate the information in the Statutory Declaration form you have submitted. This will mean providing your completed spreadsheets and survey forms you used to collect this information.
- You will also need to verify the methodologies you used while collecting this data (who collected it, how was it collected, where was it collected and what questions were asked at the time).
